Behind the Layers

Behind the Name

Caffeinat3D was born from a love of coffee and 3D printing. Since we didn’t quite have a knack for roasting beans, we decided to melt filament instead.

For those who drink coffee for the vibes—not the effectsrest easy. Our prints won’t keep you wired, though the team’s coffee consumption might raise an eyebrow or two.

The Mission

We’re here to bring innovation and creativity to life through 3D printing. As additive manufacturing continues to grow, we aim to make it approachable, practical, and exciting for businesses and creators alike.

Why It Matters

As small-batch production becomes more accessible, we’re helping others turn ideas into tangible solutions. From prototypes to final products, our work blends functionality with a spark of fun—because design should perform and leave an impression.

Before You Go

If you’ve made it this far, you’re either highly caffeinated—like we are—or genuinely curious. We respect both. Thanks for stopping by. We’re here to help you make something that functions, fascinates, or maybe even defies expectations.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the maximum size you can 3D print?

Our current printers have a maximum build volume of 256mm x 256mm x 256mm (approximately 10 x 10 x 10 inches).
If your part exceeds these dimensions, we can often split the model into sections and assemble it post-print. As our capabilities grow, so may our print volume—feel free to check in for the latest!

What colors can you print in?

We can print in multiple colors at once, which means your parts can be as bold or subtle as you like! We currently keep popular colors like black, white, gray, and yellow in stock.
Looking for something specific? Just reach out — we’re happy to help track down the right color for your project.

What materials do you use?
We primarily print in PLA, PETG, ABS, and various engineering-grade filaments. Specialty materials are available upon request.
What kind of dimensional tolerances can I expect from your prints?

While our printers deliver excellent detail and consistency, like all FDM printers, it does have limitations. Standard prints typically maintain tolerances within ±0.2mm, though this can vary depending on part geometry, filament type, and print settings.

If your project involves precise fitment, we strongly recommend designing in proper clearance or contacting us to discuss your specific requirements.
Note: If you're providing the model, you're responsible for ensuring it’s designed with appropriate tolerances for your application. We’re happy to advise, but we do not modify customer-supplied models unless specifically arranged.

For more on our print limitations and client responsibilities, see our Terms section below.

What types of 3D printing services do you offer?
We offer custom 3D printing, prototyping, CAD design, and small-batch manufacturing. Whether you're a hobbyist or a business, we've got you covered. Please visit our services page for additional information.
Can I provide my own 3D model for printing?
Absolutely! If you already have a model and just need it printed, we’re happy to help. Simply email us, and we’ll guide you through the file upload process. Once we have your file, we’ll handle the rest — saving you the time, maintenance, and hassle of printing it yourself.
What file types do you accept for 3D printing?

We typically work with .STL, .STP, .SLDPRT,and .3MF files for 3D printing. If you already have a model in one of these formats, great — upload it via the link on the Services page and we’ll take it from there.

Don’t have a 3D model yet? That’s okay. We may be able to help bring your concept to life — whether it starts as a sketch, logo file (.SVG, .PNG, .JPG), or even a rough idea. Design work is quoted on a case-by-case basis, so feel free to reach out and we’ll discuss your vision, timeline, and what it would take to make it happen.

How long does a project usually take?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days for smaller jobs. Larger or more complex builds may require additional time, which we’ll communicate clearly in your estimate.
Can I request a custom product or design?

Absolutely! Reach out with your idea or sketch, and we’ll work with you to bring it to life—from concept to final print.

I found something I am interested in — is it a product or a service?
If it’s a listed item with a set price, it’s part of our Productscatalog. If you’re needing something custom-made, batch-printed, or tailored to your needs, head over to our Servicespage. Not sure? Please don't hesitate to contact us and we’ll help you figure it out quickly.
What if my part doesn’t fit or function as expected?

We stand behind our work. If there’s a problem with fit or quality due to a production issue, we’ll make it right. If a test print is involved, we’ll confirm viability before proceeding to full production.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, no - Currently, we only offer domestic shipping within the U.S.

3. Print Tolerances

While our printers are capable of high-resolution prints, they are subject to inherent tolerances typical of FDM/FFF 3D printing. Please refer to our FAQ section for current tolerance expectations and reach out if you have specific dimensional needs.

4. Intellectual Property

By submitting a model, you confirm you have the legal rights to reproduce it. We reserve the right to refuse any print job that may infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.

5. Project Estimates & Approvals

All service-based work will be preceded by an estimate. Work will not begin until the estimate is approved. Final pricing may vary slightly depending on material usage, print time, or design revisions.

6. Revisions & Design Work

If your project includes model design or revision services, they will be quoted separately. Design work does not include unlimited revisions unless explicitly stated.

7. Refunds & Reprints

Refunds are not issued for custom parts once printing has begun. If a part fails due to print error or material defect on our end, we will reprint at no additional charge. Issues due to user-supplied file errors are not covered.
